How to Register for the November 2026 CSCA Test: Step by Step (Registration 15–21 October)
October 13, 2026 · CSCA Gateway Team

Registration for the 14–15 November 2026 CSCA session runs 15–21 October 2026 on the official site csca.cn. That is only 7 days, so have every document ready before day one. This guide walks through each step, from preparing documents to being ready on exam day.
Key Facts
- Registration site: csca.cn (the only official site; do not register through any other link)
- Registration: 15–21 October 2026
- Test dates: 14–15 November 2026 (Day 1: Professional Chinese and Mathematics; Day 2: Physics and Chemistry)
- Fee: ¥450 for 1 subject, ¥700 for 2 or more subjects
- Results are released within 10 working days after the test
Step 1: Prepare Your Documents Before 15 October
- An active personal email you check often (all exam information goes there). Avoid a school email that may be deactivated.
- A valid passport or official ID. A passport is best, because its details are later matched with your university and scholarship applications.
- A digital photo that meets the csca.cn photo requirements. The site has a photo check; test your photo before you start registering.
- A card for online payment (credit or debit card with Visa, Mastercard or UnionPay). If you do not have one, ask your parents for help now.
Step 2: Confirm the Subjects Your Major Needs
Do not pick subjects at random. In general:
- Mathematics: required for all applicants.
- Professional Chinese (Academic Chinese): required for Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) applicants and Chinese-taught programs. There are two versions, Humanities and Science; match it to your major.
- Physics and/or Chemistry: depends on the major and university, usually for science, engineering, agriculture and medicine.
- English-taught programs: many universities only ask for Mathematics.
Check the international admissions page of your target university. We also cover majors and required subjects in Which Majors Accept CSCA Scores?. Since 2 subjects and 4 subjects both cost ¥700, take every subject you need in the same session.
Step 3: Create an Account on csca.cn
- Open csca.cn and click Register.
- Enter your email, create a password, then verify your email with the code or link you receive.
- Keep this email and password safe. The same account shows your schedule, admission ticket and results.
Step 4: Enter Your Details Exactly as in Your Passport
Write your name, date of birth, nationality and passport number exactly as in your passport, including the order of your names. A small mistake here can make your CSCA record differ from your university documents and cause trouble during verification. Double-check before saving.
Step 5: Choose the Session, Test Mode, Subjects and Language
- Session: 14–15 November 2026.
- Test mode: choose what is available for Indonesia. At the moment, candidates in Indonesia usually take the online home test with remote proctoring.
- Subjects: based on your check in Step 2.
- Question language: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry can be taken in Chinese or English. Professional Chinese is in Chinese.
November session times (Western Indonesia Time, WIB): Day 1 Professional Chinese 13:00–14:30 and Mathematics 16:00–17:00; Day 2 Physics 13:00–14:00 and Chemistry 15:30–16:30. The full schedule is in CSCA Test Dates 2026–2027.
Step 6: Pay and Keep the Proof
The fee is ¥450 for 1 subject or ¥700 for 2 or more subjects, paid online at the end of registration. After payment, download or screenshot the confirmation page and keep the payment email. Registration only counts once payment succeeds, so do not stop after filling in your details.
Step 7: Prepare Your Devices for the Online Home Test
The home test is proctored live through cameras. Based on the CSCA technical guidance that has been shared, prepare:
- A Windows laptop or computer with a webcam. Mac is reported as not yet supported, so check the latest requirements in your csca.cn account early.
- A phone used as a second camera from the side-back, plus a charger during the test.
- A stable internet connection for both laptop and phone.
- A quiet room of your own, a clear desk, and the exam app installed and tested before the day.
Follow all technical instructions and device checks that CSCA sends to your email. Do not try a new device on exam day.
Common Mistakes
- Waiting until 21 October, then getting stuck on the photo, the payment card or a busy website.
- A name or passport number that does not match the original document.
- Choosing the wrong subjects, for example forgetting the Physics or Chemistry your major requires.
- Using an email you rarely open and missing exam instructions.
- Not preparing a Windows laptop and a second phone for the home test.
